His Introduction to The Breakfast Club: Online

Originally, I had seen the emails, and I ignored them. I didn’t fully read them, or I just didn’t engage right away. I didn’t join in on my first program until over halfway through the six weeks. I guess I finally decided I was tired of looking at myself, and decided, “Just do it, you might enjoy it.” I ended up liking it! I didn’t have to go anywhere, as I don’t enjoy going to the public gyms and working out. I like to be more private. It was a convenient way during Covid, as I was looking for a way to run a couple of times a week and do some strength training. I kept it up and started really enjoying it.

Utilizing the Recorded Workouts

Later on, I was informed I could go on the website and enter a code to be able to continue a live workout or find ones online that were already recorded. And going forward, that’s what I did. I used the recorded workouts, because I didn’t have to do them at specific times or if I couldn’t make it work at the same time every day. They make it convenient no matter the time zone you are in. It was nice to know that once the six week sesssions were up, there were workouts recorded on the website.

What He Enjoyed the Most About The Breakfast Club: Online

Especially during the quarantine aspect of Covid in early 2020, it was great to feel like there were other people out there doing the same thing as you, at the same time as you. One of the biggest things guys miss from playing the game is the locker room component. The brotherhood. The Breakfast Club: Online gives you that back. Of course, it’s not the exact same, but at this point, it’s as much as you can get it as a retired guy.

Another part I enjoyed - I lost 30 pounds while participating throughout 2020. Back in February when I went to the Super Bowl, I participated in one of the PCF health screenings. I got my report back and didn’t think much about it. When Covid started to hit, I began to hear about all of the risk factors. One of those was your BMI. I dug up my report from February and reviewed my BMI. I thought, “Oh man, I better start doing something about that.” Over the years, I’ve done a lot of things to try to lose weight. I’d lose it, I’d gain it back, I’d lose it, and as the years would go by, the weight would creep back up. The Breakfast Club: Online helped me get back down again and has changed my mentality in different ways. I like working out, it’s helped me start to read labels, I’m paying attention to additional sugars added to things, etc.

Why He Would Recommend The Breakfast Club: Online to Other Former Players

The best feedback you can get is when other people say stuff to you. At one point, I was walking outside and saw my reflection in the car window. I said to my daughter, “Check out my muscles!” She said back to me, “Yeah, I’ve been noticing how your arms have been looking more defined.” Feedback like that - it’s the best. I am a believer in The Breakfast Club for former players.
