Joeanne (Jo) Thomas, originally from Ohio, recently earned her Master of Professional Studies in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland. After leaving the Marine Corps in 2014, Jo realized her service was far from over and she dedicated herself to supporting mental health and wellness through recreation. In her previous role she advised, mentored, and coordinated programs focused on serving the needs of Veterans transitioning into academia. As a 2020 Tillman Scholar, she is very excited to serve this community.
When Jo is not working, she enjoys whitewater kayaking, scuba diving, and any activity that gets her near the water.
