Cheryl Bailey Turner serves as the Director of Service for The Trust, Powered by the NFLPA. She is responsible for the oversight of the Service Team and works with Trust partners to ensure former players receive superior support and resources in their transition to life after football. Cheryl is also responsible for assessing processes, protocols, and outcomes and is committed to The Trust’s mission, values, and principles.

Before joining The Trust, Cheryl served as Quality Assurance Manager for a community mental health, substance abuse & developmental services organization, where she was responsible for managing and overseeing the strategic development and operations of an array of functional areas, including technology, healthcare compliance, policies and procedures, outcomes and evaluation, and health information management. In addition to her clinical and operational roles, she has worked in clinical research at the National Institute of Mental Health, where she supported scientists through management of regulatory compliance activities, as well as developing recruitment strategies to draw and engage research participation.

Cheryl earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Amherst College and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The American University. She is a seasoned psychology and educational professional, with extensive experience delivering client-focused evaluation services within private practice and institutional settings.
