Demetric Evans is the third member of his family to play in the NFL. Demetric was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys in 2001. In 2011 he retired with the San Francisco 49ers. Demetric is a graduate from the University of Georgia and has served as an NFLPA Mentor.
After retiring from the NFL, Demetric returned to the University of Georgia and earned his Bachelor of Science in Consumer Sciences. In 2007, Demetric and his wife, Dr. Aungel Evans, founded 92 Blessings, a non-profit organization helping underprivileged youth in the community. Every year, Demetric holds a free football camp in his home town of Haynesville, LA. The purpose of the camp is to promote teamwork and define the athletes’ skills.
