Spring is right around the corner and it’s time to get out on the court! No, not the basketball court, the tennis court. Tennis is a great pasttime and a challenging sport for all levels of athletes. Getting up and outdoors this time of year is at the top of everyone’s list. What Is Tennis Elbow?
It is an inflammatory response from overuse to the lateral tendons that extend your wrist. The repetitive contact from playing tennis can cause this to become inflamed.

No – it is an inflammatory response from overuse with a gradual onset.
What Is the Treatment?
The classic “RICE” (Rest, Ice, Compress, and Elevate) is the most common and cost efficient way to treat your pain. You can also take some anti-inflammatories to help reduce the inflammation and pain. Still it may take 4 – 6 weeks to fully heal. If the pain persist after taking some time off or shoes no sign of improvement, please visit your physician to get an orthopedic exam.
