Frequently Asked Questions
The Trust was made for players, by players. Discussions with active and former players and the NFLPA launched a movement to provide customized earned benefits to the brotherhood of Trust-eligible former NFL players. We started with a fundamental question: Why do some former players transition more successfully than others after the NFL? Our goal is to provide the answer, and to ensure that every Trust-eligible former NFL player achieves success after football.
Your success is the single measure of our success. Our #1 goal is to equip and empower you. The Trust is your new team. We find solutions not excuses! We work with you to develop your gameplan post-NFL. You’ve earned membership in The Trust. We are here to assist you in taking charge of your health, career, finances, education and continued growth.

The Gameplan is an overall, customized plan for success – it will give the former player the best sense of where he is, where he should be and how to get there. Once the former player completes intake, his Gameplan will be initiated. The Gameplan is a combination of input from the former player and his Program Manager. Each resource is designed as a “key” to success for each player’s attainment.
The Trust has partnered with leading health providers around the country to provide these assessments. The Trust staff will assist players in scheduling evaluations at the facility closest to their homes.
Certain travel costs are paid for by The Trust, including accommodations, transportation and meals. To determine which travel costs are covered please contact The Trust directly.
