Perfect Posture in Transit

Most of us spend a lot of time in transit, whether planes, trains, or automobiles. The key to maintaining perfect posture in the car is to force yourself to do so, by positioning things just right. Start by adjusting your mirrors (rearview and side) to where they should be when you have perfect posture, that way you’ll have to maintain good posture to be able to see out of it. Then, set your car seat back to support you in that perfect posture position. Lastly, adjust your headrest so that it properly supports your neck.

When you’re traveling by train or plane, get up every 30 minutes and stretch, assuming the fasten seat belt light is not activated. Just standing upright in the aisle for a few seconds can make all the difference.

If you’re switching planes and have a bit of a layover, take advantage of the extra time and go for a walk rather than sitting right back down in the waiting area.
