Javin Hunter entered the NFL out of the University of Notre Dame in 2002 as a 6th round draft choice of the Baltimore Ravens. He would immediately impress as a rookie starting in 5 games scoring two touchdowns, including one on a 99-yard kick return against the New York Jets. However, after an Achilles tear injury in 2003, the trajectory of his playing career was forever altered as it sidelined him for the entire year. Javin ultimately spent 3 years in Baltimore with the Ravens and 1 year in San Francisco with the 49ers.

Upon leaving the NFL in 2006, Hunter refocused his energy into making his mark in Corporate America and spending time with his two growing boys. Javin has held leadership roles with some of the top Fortune 500 companies in the world. Those being Ford Motor Company, Tesla, AT&T and Amazon. However, his real fulfillment came from being a mentor, coach, and Father.

Javin’s oldest son Jaden Ivey was the 5th pick in the 2022 NBA draft and is currently playing with the Detroit Pistons, Javin’s hometown. His teenage son, Jordan Hunter is also an up-and-coming all-American basketball player at Paul VI High School in Chantilly, VA, who held ESPN’s #1 ranking in Boys High School basketball last year.

Javin is a second-generation NFL player as his father James Hunter, was the 10th pick in the 1976 Draft with the Detroit Lions. Hunter is currently embarking and focusing on an entrepreneurial career as the owner of BMOC Sports and Marketing, which provides sports training and mentorship to kids ages 8 to 18. The company also helps them maximize themselves in the new NIL landscape.

Javin currently splits his time between Detroit and Northern Virginia spending time with his two sons and new Grandson.
