It was an amazing experience. It was cool because we got to role play Shark Tank (which is one of my favorite shows), have an entrepreneurial mindset, and do it with a group of guys who also played in the NFL. And we all have the same kind of mindset, we want to succeed. We were all in our meeting rooms competing, we were like, "Nah, I’m gonna win this, I wanna be the best." Being back in that kind of environment with professional athletes ... It’s hard to explain.
But it was a great experience having The Trust set us up like that, and to get the expertise from guys who have been dealing with entrepreneurs their whole lives. We had a guy come in who was a part of three different start-ups and grossed over 100 million dollars within the first two years – it was ridiculous. And to get that type of knowledge from a guy like that, it’s invaluable! I mean, you can’t explain how far that can go if you’re going down the entrepreneur path.
It helped me moreso figure out that I don’t want to be an entrepreneur anymore. You know, having that experience helped me figure out that I want to get away from that path. Even though I have an entrepreneur mindset, I know it’s geared more towards small goals rather than having my career set around being an entrepreneur.
